It was the No-Doz of the 1880's.
Pemberton sold the Coca-Cola secret formula to Willis E. Venable and George S. Lowndes
in July 1887.
After a short 5 months, Venable & Lowndes sold the formula to Woolfolk Walker and Mrs. M. C. Dozer.
In 1888 - the formula was sold AGAIN to Asa G. Candler. - (Unfortunately, Pemberton, the original inventor, died this year. )
